PROTECTING THE POWERLESS
Betty Makoni, Director of the Girl Child Network and CNN Hero, believes that this empowerment model, built in Zimbabwe, having reached some 300,000 girls, can be applied worldwide.
Girl Child Network Worldwide is the only organization to give general support funds to individual girls in communities where they lack the financial and human resources to mobilize and organize.
Thousands of girls have transformed from victims, to survivors, to leaders through the Girl Child Network.
