Tantra-zawadi, as part of The Senegal-America project, visited Senegal with Tony Vacca's World Rhythms and Arts-Are-Essential, Inc.
This initiative began with a shared vision by Tony Vacca and Massamba Diop, a Senegalese drummer, who have collaborated since 1995 to further connections between the artists of both countries.
This trip was a life-changing experience. The people of Senegal showed so much love.
Tantra-zawadi performed with Bideew Bou Bess and Tony Vacca to a packed house. Being in the same venue as the legendary Baaba Maal was an unforgettable experience. And if that wasn't enough, she met Massamba Diop and the gifted hip-hop group Focoti Micin Dakar, who she also recorded tracks with.
